dear sir, our company has purchased 5 butterfly check valves 48 in, the disc material is astm a351 cf3m, it was determined by conducting ferrite measurement that there is 12 to 22% ferrite in the disc material, considering that the valve is astenitic and is equivalent to 316l wrought. Astm a800 has been referred and the prediction of the amount of ferrite for cast material is done based on the Schoefer diagram, now the question is, is the amount of ferrite based on a800 after completion of casting or after completion of dissolution annealing?
And if the amount of ferrite is after cast and before anneal solution, how is the percentage of ferrite determined after anneal solution, can anneal solution have a great effect on the percentage of ferrite of the mentioned material, and please introduce a standard reference, thank you
